Description | This map of the London United Tramways (L.U.T.) system shows the extent of the network that served south and west London. Other tram services are shown, along with Underground and mainline railways. The map is made of vitreous enamel, so is hardy enough to be displayed outside. As routes and operators changed, maps needed to be replaced more frequently, so enamel maps were replaced by paper ones. |
