Description | This now Circle line and Hammersmith and City line platform at Baker Street was part of the world's first Underground railway in 1863. It was restored in the 1980s, when the surfaces were stripped back to the original walls. Replica furniture was installed, as well as lighting that mimics daylight. This platform has now been listed to protect it from inappropriate development. |
