Description
This edition of the Underground diagram has been redrawn with an enlarged central area. There is a notice that Strand Station is closed from June 1973 until 1976 and a red cross overprint on the station name also indicates the closure. All the station names on this map are in capital letters instead of upper and lower case and the title "The London Underground" has been added to the key. The escalator link between Bank and Monument Stations is now a vertical zig zag beacuse of the larger area inside the Circle line and the Bakerloo line between Queens Park and Watford junction is shown as a brown and white line indicating a peak hours service only.
