Description | This earthenware tile with cream glaze depicts the dome of St Paul's Cathedral with 'St P' on either side. It was used at platform level at St Paul's Underground station and designed by Harold Stabler. Stable was commissioned to design a series of 18 relief patterns to complement plain tiled walls. Tiles like these were fitted to stations built between 1938 and 1946. |
