Document; Female staff : volumes 1 and 2 / [Metropolitan Railway], 1915-1920

Two bound staff registers in boxes [ca. 800 p.] listing female staff employed by the Metropolitan Railway during the First World War. Each volume has an alphabetical list of names at the front giving a page number for the person's full record in the latter part of the register. The entry for each person lists their full name, date of appointment, date of birth, staff number and starting rate of pay. Each grade (role) they had is listed with the station they were based at and any changes to their pay. Remarks section includes any misdemeanours and disciplinary action taken and the date and reason why they left the company.
