Description
Six documents (tied together with pink document tape) relating to sale of Omnibus Shed in Farringdon Street by Metropolitan Railway to Great Northern Railway, 1874. The documents include: a cheque for £125 payable to the Metropolitan Railway; a letter from Metropolitan Railway Accountants Office accompanying the cheque; a handwritten note about the payment, mentioning first a £100 cost in text in black, which is over written by blue pencil mentioning the £125 costs (stamped; Great Northern Railway Engineer June 16 1874); A draft cheque from Great northern Railway Company to Messer Smith, Payne and Smith on 16 July 1874; Receipt The Great Northern Rly Co, to the Metropolitan Railway Co for £125 dated 9 June 1874
