Description | In 1966 London Transport introduced single-deck buses for the first 'Red Arrow' services. These fast services had limited stops in central London and passengers travelled for a flat fare. The MBA type buses initially had coin-operated turnstiles, but these were soon replaced by fare boxes overseen by the driver. The MBA types could carry 25 seated and 48 standing passengers. This bus, MBA582, was one of the later 1969 batch of 'Red Arrow' buses. It was withdrawn in April 1981. |
