Description | This tramcar is one of the first batch of 1,050 bogie tramcars purchased by London County Council Tramways (LCCT) between 1907 and 1930. This type of tram, known as E/1, became the standard design operated by the LCC and the most numerous to run in London. Although drivers were originally open to the elements, windscreens were fitted in the 1930s. This tramcar, number 1025, was in passenger service until January 1952. |
