Description
The ST-type bus was the first London bus designed to have an enclosed staircase. ST821 was one of four built in 1931 for the National Omnibus and Transport Company. It spent its life working in the London Transport Country Area and was based at a number of different garages around London. It was withdrawn from service in 1949 and selected for preservation with other London Transport historical vehicles. It was painted red for a time, but was repainted to its Country Area green livery in 1979.
