Direction sign; Shoreditch station street sign, 1980 - 1990

Enamel metal street sign pointing left, giving directions towards Shoreditch station, with roundel symbol below. This kind of sign is still displayed near stations which are difficult to locate at street level. This sign would have been paired together with another identical sign on the back and installed with a metal frame to the side of a lamp post or similar street post, so that the station indication could be visible from both fronts.
