Description | This three-dimensional relief map shows the original full route of the Metropolitan Railway from Baker Street to Verney Junction and Brill in rural Buckinghamshire. For many years it hung in the depot Engineer's office at Neasden. It was probably originally on display at an important Metropolitan station such as Baker Street. The Metropolitan Railway coined the word 'Metro-Land' for the new suburban and rural areas that the railway travelled through. |
