Description
London Transport trophy awarded for bus garage efficiency and tidiness. Composed of a wooden base and a silver cup with an iconic enamel London Transport roundel on the lid. The alphabet 'T' is designed as the decoration in the middle. The inscription 'FOR THE GARAGE HOLDING THE FIRST PLACE FOR EFFICIENCY & TIDINESS FOR THE YEAR' is around the edge of the cup, the winners name from 1954 to 1956 reads on the bottom squares part of the cup. The black wood base has a dark blue suede on the top. There is a paper label inside of the lid with the text 'U.S. CUSTOMS', 'ENTRY NO. 616/ CASE NO. 775/ ITEMS NO.' 'EXHIBIT/ NEW YORK WORLDS FAIR 1939'.
