Subway number 3; east end. Reconstruction of Clapham Storm Relief Sewer to permit subway to pass over it. In the foreground the reconstructed sewer, an eight foot diameter cast iron lining, is shown partially complete. In the background the existing egg shaped brick lined sewer. Note also the abandoned 18" diameter gas main previously diverted on the left. Two workmen shown and wooden shoreing to shaft.
