| Description | The TOT(Train – Omnibus – Tram) staff organisation held an annual sports gala in July at the Chiswick Works sports ground. Underground Group staff from across London competed in the track and field events. There were also less serious competitions, including egg-and-spoon races for women, sack races for men and a 'Bonny Baby' contest for children. The winners of the Division I, II and III competitions were photographed under umbrellas after the contest. The women holding the babies in this photograph are: Patricia Pingram of Walthamstow, Moreen Truman of Twickenham and Sherley Lewis of Stamford Hill. |
