| Description | This aerial view shows the Chiswick Works site and surrounding area, in 1924. Chiswick Works was the new factory-style central overhaul works for the buses run by the London General Omnibus Company (L.G.O.C.). Each bus had to undergo an annual inspection, and the L.G.O.C. managed to cut the time this took from 16 to four days by centralising its operations. |
