Description
Three-quarter front view of London United Tramways (LUT) S2-type single deck, one man operated, PAYE car no 342, with a Brentford destination blind, shown just outside the entrance to Hanwell depot. Passengers entered the tram through the doors at the front (open in this shot) in order to pay the driver and alighted from those in the rear; both sets of doors were operated by the driver.This tram was rebuilt from a private hire saloon, to carry 32 passengers.
