Steam train departing from Blake Hall station on the Epping - Ongar section of the Central line. A few passengers have apparently alighted from the train. The substantial brick-built stationmaster's house stands foreground right. The goods yard, midground centre left, seems to contain mostly coal and wood. The radar masts at RAF North Weald can be seen in the background; otherwise this is a completely rural scene.
