The tram is preceded by a man waving a flag; a horse bus and motor car are forced to brake, and pedestrians, including a policeman, faint at the sight. The introduction of an electric tram service to Wimbledon was long delayed through disagreements with the local council. Copy of b/w cartoon on postcard. |
