B/W glass neg; Piccadilly line western extension work by Topical Press, 14 Apr 1931

One of two shots in a longer series relating to work on the western extension of the Piccadilly line at Hammersmith, showing renewal work on the side of a railway bridge, one brick side supporting section of which is being replaced by degrees. This section is in the mean time being supported by a wooden brace and a riveted iron prop resting on the lower, new, brickwork. A tall ladder provides access from the street to the track level.
