Description | View of disused twin, split-level tunnel mouths at King William Street Underground station, the eastern terminus of the C&SLR. The metal tunnel rings can clearly be seen. View probably taken from original station platform which no longer exists. A semaphore signal is still in situ between the two tunnel mouths. The station opened on 18 December 1890 and closed 24 February 1900. One of a series, see U6867-U6870. |
