Description | City & South London Railway staff in group photograph in front of a Siemens locomotive and 'padded cell' carriage at at Stockwell Depot. The photograph shows a C.&S.L.R. locomotive and original 'padded cell' trailer car . The loco was one of only two locomotives built by Siemens, note double lined livery. The driver is leaning out of his cab and the rest of the group are standing or seated. Some appear to be officials in bowler hats whilst the rest are in various railway uniforms according to rank and job. Many have fob watches in their waistcoat pockets. |
