Description | Three-quarter rear nearside view of H1B-type trolleybus no 801, reg no ELB801, on a tree-lined road near Fulwell; it has a route 604 destination blind, but was probably on a test run. This vehicle had a body built by East Lancs Coachbuilders on a Leyland chassis, the original body having been destroyed in the blitz. Two cars can be seen ahead of the trolleybus, whilst a single deck bus is parked on the grassed area on the other side of the road, background centre. The bases of the trolleybus poles still have their wartime white paint rings. |
