Description | Photograph of a Green Line T-type coach, registration number: ELP178, (T454) which has been converted into an ambulance. A patient is carried out by stretcher from Westminster Hospital watched by nursing staff and others. A large number of patients were evacuated from London hospitals in the days preceding the formal declaration of war. The doors and windows of the hospital are protected by sandbags. |
