Description | LGOC buses on private hire, used for transporting spectators to the FA Cup Final in 1923. This was actually the first final to be held at the new Wembley Stadium. A charabanc, lorry and private car can also be seen in the shot. All the vehicles appear to be comparatively empty, suggesting that most of their passengers are now in the stadium. The match itself was won by Bolton Wanderers, who beat West Ham United 2-0. Note the rural surroundings. |
