Description
Underground Electric Railways Of London map. This geographic paper edition of the Underground map was issued by the Great Northern, Piccadilly & Brompton Railway, and it shows the Railway lines belonging to the Underground Group. General geographic features such as roads and parks are shown with the Underground lines overprinted in black. Other railways are shown in red. The map includes the newly opened Great Northern, Brompton & Piccadilly Railway line between Hammersmith and Finsbury Park. It also shows the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway under construction as a broken line as well as the Baker St & Waterloo Railway section between Edgware Road and Paddington and the GNP&BR branch to Strand. The border of the map includes lists of stations served by the Railways shown on the map. The reverse is printed in red and green and has details of GNP&BR connections to the tramways and other Underground Group railways, lists of theatres and places of interest with their nearest tube stations, times of first and last trains and a fare chart showing local fares. There are also notices about luggage, lost property, cloak rooms, bicycle stores, call boxes, workmen's tickets and complaints.
