Description | Paper geographic style Underground Group map, aslo showing the Metropolitan Railway. Most lines shownin their entirety except the Metropolitan which is shown as far as West Harrow and the Eastbound District line which is shown to Bow Road. Stations beyond the boundaries of the map are indicated in boxes at the end of the lines. Only five colours, green, blue, red, brown and black, and various shading patterns, are used to represent the different lines, the inner circle is shown as a separate line. Interchanges are marked with a circle and station names are all printed in black. Features such as parks, roads and exhibition grounds are marked with light black lines. Name changes from earlier maps: Strand is now Aldwych, Charing Cross has become Strand and Great Central has been renamed Marylebone. On the reverse there are details about main line connections, places of interest, sports grounds, general information, how to get to the country, river and sea by Underground and a theatre plan and key. The front cover has an Underground roundel with a black circle and UndergrounD logo bar. |
