Santa Claus is coming to town and the festive season is just around the corner! We’ve had a chat with Santa’s elves and they said you can expect plenty of fun and crafts included with your ticket to London Transport Museum this year. From Friday 25 November 2022, the Museum is transforming into a magical winter wonderland which is sure to delight even the grumpiest of Scrooges. So come in out of the cold and into the warmth of London Transport Museum to enjoy the festive fun.

Want to give your loved ones something really special this year? How about a handmade card? Head on over to the Transportorium where you can craft a pop-up card yourself. Each card features an image of Santa coming down the chimney to delivery presents, with a London Transport Museum twist of course! After you’ve crafted your creation, there are plenty more festive designs you can colour in and take home with you. Try decorating a frosty-cool poster for your wall at home. You can even see the real ones on display in our Poster Parade.

When you’ve had your fill of Christmas crafts, you can go on a festive trail around the galleries to spot twinkling roundels, each one asking a transport related question. Grab an answer sheet from the Welcome Desk and don’t forget to write all your answers down. You can submit your sheet at the desk on your way out for a chance to win a coveted roundel lightbox!

We want everyone to feel welcome at the Museum this holiday season. That’s why on Saturday 10 December 2022, we are opening our doors from 8.30-10am for families with additional needs and disabilities. During this time, the gallery sounds are turned off (including the handryers in our toilets) and there are quiet spaces available for anyone who needs them. Santa, the trail and all of our crafts will be available during this Early Explorer Morning. Tickets must be purchased in advance as there are a limited number of visitors permitted entry during this time to keep it calm and enjoyable for all who wish to join us.

This year, the Museum has something for everyone. So come in and enjoy the warmth, comfort, and delight of London Transport Museum this festive season.
